Printers & Copiers

How-to and technical support.

Copier Locations

Copiers can be found in the following locations on campus:

  • Bingham Hall
  • Bond House
  • Clarke Center
  • Duques Center
  • Henry Hall
  • Library (coin-operated for student use)
  • Mitchell Hall
  • Montauk House
  • Nathan Hale Hall
  • Umbrella House
  • Yarnall Center

In order to make copies, you must enter your 5-digit copier code.  Please request this information from your supervisor.

By default, many of these devices make double-sided prints when printing from your computer directly to the device. 

Many copiers are capable of printing, scanning, and faxing.  For additional information, please contact LIS staff (askLIS@mitchell.edu; 860-701-5156) or the Help Desk (860-701-5190).

A flatbed scanner is also available on the Library's main level.

Copier How-to

Network Printers

Most offices have access to a shared black and white network printer or printer/copier.  Attached are the complete instructions for adding a network printer to your printer queue.  If you cannot locate the printer you wish to add, or you have trouble with the instructions, please contact LIS staff for assistance (askLIS@mitchell.edu; 860-701-5156).

Color Printers

Color printing is available in several places on campus (copier code required).

  • Mitchell Hall copier/printer
  • Henry Hall copier/printer
  • Umbrella House copier/printer
  • Some individual offices also have color printers; contact the Help Desk for more information.

Technical Support for Faculty/Staff

The Help Desk handles all copier and printer technical support including requests for toner and used toner disposal tanks.

Be prepared to supply:

  • Printer or copier location
  • Model Number
  • ID number (for copiers only - located on the front of each copier) 
  • Any details you have about the nature of the problem (error messages, etc.)
