Lending Policies for Alumni & Community Patrons

Patrons of all LION member libraries are invited to use their home library cards at the Mitchell College Library.

Use your LION home library card to:

• Borrow materials directly from the Mitchell College Library main desk;
• Request items in the catalog with a pickup location of Mitchell College;
• Renew materials online.

You must have an active LION library card with no associated fines or fees in order to use your card at the Mitchell College Library.  We do not accept payment for home library fines and fees.

The following items may not be borrowed by LION patrons.

• Course Reserve materials
• Media equipment
• Non-circulating collections including reference, periodicals, and archives

The following services are not extended to LION patrons at this time:

• Interlibrary loan outside of the LION consortium
• Computer/internet access
• Wireless access
• Printing

Automated overdue notices will be sent as a courtesy via email. 

A maximum of $25 per item in overdue fines will be assigned.

The following charges apply to items damaged or not returned.  Market price prevails when available (this can be higher or lower than the fees listed below).
