Lending Policies for Alumni & Community Patrons

Graduate Institute and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (on-campus) students are assigned Mitchell College Library cards on an annual basis..

Use your Mitchell College Library card to:

• Access Mitchell College Library's online databases from off-campus;
• Borrow materials directly from the Mitchell College Library main desk;
• Request items via the LION catalog with a pickup location of Mitchell College;
• Renew materials online.

If you are a Graduate Institute or WPI student and have not received a Mitchell College Library card, please contact your institution's adminstrator to request that the Library be notified of your current student status.

The following items may not be borrowed by GI & WPI students:

• Course Reserve materials
• Media equipment
• Non-circulating collections including reference, periodicals, and archives

The following services are not extended to Graduate Institute students at this time:

• Interlibrary loan outside of the LION catalog

A maximum of $25 per item in overdue fines will be assigned.

The following charges apply to items damaged or not returned.  Market price prevails when available (this can be higher or lower than the fees listed below).
