Databases and search engine URLs often include search strings based on the keywords you have entered. These search strings are temporary - if you try to share a search URL with someone or access it many days later, it will no longer work.
Permalinks make it possible to share a URL that always takes you to the same place such as an individual article, website, or ebook. You can find permalinks in all of the library databases when you pull up individual article records.
In Ebsco, the permalink option appears on the right of each article record under Tools:
Permalinks can be copied, saved, and shared for direct access to that record's location online.
