The Equipment

Recording Booth
The library's new sound recording booth isolates you from surrounding noise while offering improved sound quality with acoustical panels and pyramid foam.
RODEcaster Pro II
A production quality studio mixer with four microphone tracks and eight pre-programmed SMART pads for sound effects at your fingertips.
RODE PodMics (2)
Two dynamic podcasting microphones capture crisp, clean sound on separate tracks for easy editing. Each PodMic is on a desktop stand with a weighted base.
Shure Studio Headphones
Two sets of comfortable and noise blocking studio headphones.
Audacity
Borrow a laptop from the library or download this free software to your personal device. Get to know podcast editing with Audacity.

Book Time in The Booth

The sound recording pod can be scheduled in 45 minute blocks, plus 15 minute buffers before and after to allow for setup and breakdown (total time: 75 minutes per booking).
