Student Voting Rights

As a college student who is 18+, you are entitled to vote!

If you live on campus, you will need to decide if you're voting in your home town or if you're voting in your college town.  You cannot vote in both places.

Plan ahead!  You will need to decide if you're voting IN PERSON or BY ABSENTEE BALLOT.  Each state has its own rules about absentee voting. Learn more at vote.org.

If your state does not allow absentee ballots and you will not be traveling home to vote, you can change your registration to match your college address.  This is a confidential process and can be completed online. You will need either a state issued ID with your Mitchell address, or a piece of official mail with your Mitchell address, such as a billing statement.

Register to vote at vote.org or by using the form on this page.  You can also visit your state registrar of voters website.
