Text Alerts from the Mitchell College Library

Shoutbomb sends you text messages when you have library materials to renew, return, or pickup. 

Signup is Free and Easy

Standard text rates apply.

Text the word SIGNUP to 860-345-1307 then follow the prompts.  You will need the library card number on the back of your college ID.

FEES - Opt In/Out of fee notice texts
HOLDS - Opt In/Out of holds notice texts
SWITCHPHONE - Change the phone number receiving texts
QUIT - Stop all text notices

Building Access

The library building is now open.  Library hours here.  Staff is also available to assist you by chat, email, phone, or Zoom.  

Curbside Pickup & Dropoff

If you prefer curbside service, select a time through our easy online calendar and note what you are picking up or dropping off.  Pickups subject to availability.  

Online Photo ID Process

New and replacement IDs must now be requested through our online form.  Please review photo requirements carefully to ensure the quickest turnaround time.  Full details here.

One-on-One Support

Available in person or by Zoom, phone, email, or chat on the library's website.  Students can make appointments through Starfish, faculty/staff should email us (contacts here) to arrange a convenient meeting time.

Expanded Online Support

Guides for Teaching Technology Support and Learning Technology Support are available.  Video tutorials are on the library's YouTube Channel.

All library services will be maintained

This includes course reserves, interlibrary loan and delivery, instruction sessions, and staff support - contact us with any questions you have and we will work with you to get it done!
