Borrowing

Availability
Mitchell College library has 1 Kindle Touch and 1 Kindle Paperwhite available for loan.

Who May Borrow
Only currently enrolled students and actively employed faculty and staff of the Mitchell College community may borrow these items.

Loan Period
Kindles may be borrowed for a period of 14 days.

eBook Request
LIS will purchase eBooks for the Kindle upon request. Requests are contingent upon the cost and the LIS book budget.

What You Borrow
The Kindle is loaned with 1) a protective carrying case and 2) a USB cable.  All the items listed above must be  returned to the library circulation desk. Borrowers will be billed replacement costs for lost or damaged components.

Replacement Costs for Lost or Damaged Kindle

  • borrower understands that all electronic equipment and/or accessories are the property of the Mitchell College.
  • borrower will return all equipment to the library in the same condition in which it was provided.
  • borrower will return all equipment on specified due date.
  • borrower understands that failure to return equipment will result in an overdue fine.
  • borrower is responsible for the replacement cost for equipment that is lost, stolen or damaged. Damages include but are not limited to accidents, neglect, or misuse.
  • borrower understands that legal action may be taken for failure to return equipment without proper compensation.
