Borrowing

Availability
Mitchell College library has 3 student camcorders and 4 faculty camcorders available for loan. Use of the camcorder is on a first come/first borrow basis. The camcorder is available for checkout at the library circulation desk.

Who May Borrow
Only currently enrolled students and actively employed faculty and staff of the Mitchell College community may borrow this item.

Loan Period
The student camcorders may be borrowed for a period of 4 hours due to the high demand for this item. Faculty camcorders may be borrowed for a period of 2 days.

What You Borrow
The camcorder is loaned with 1) a protective carrying case 2) a USB cable  3) a charging/power supply  4) a battery pack and 5) a SD card. Tripods and multi scan card readers can be borrowed upon request. All the items listed above must be  returned to the library circulation desk. Borrowers will be billed replacement costs for lost or damaged components.

Replacement Costs for Lost or Damaged Camcorders

  • borrower understands that all electronic equipment and/or accessories are the property of the Mitchell College.
  • borrower will return all equipment to the library in the same condition in which it was provided.
  • borrower will return all equipment on specified due date.
  • borrower understands that failure to return equipment will result in an overdue fine.
  • borrower is responsible for the replacement cost for equipment that is lost, stolen or damaged. Damages include but are not limited to accidents, neglect, or misuse.
  • borrower understands that legal action may be taken for failure to return equipment without proper compensation.
