Smartpen Help

For assistance in using the smartpen go to the Livescribe website or contact  the Office of Disability Support Services  and schedule a one on one training session.

Borrowing

Availability
The Office of Disability Student Services (DSS) has 4 Livescribe Echo Smartpens available. Use of the Smartpens is on a first come/first borrow basis. The DSS is located on the third floor of the Duques Center.

Who May Borrow
Only currently enrolled students and actively employed faculty and staff of the Mitchell College community may borrow these items.

Loan Period
Smartpens may be borrowed for a period of 14 days.

What You Borrow
Smartpens are loaned with 1) a Smartpen 2) a 50 sheet starter notebook 3) a USB charging cable 4) a headset and 5) a protective case for the pen. All the items listed above must be  returned to the Office of DSS. Borrowers will be billed replacement costs for lost or damaged components.

Replacement Costs for Lost or Damaged Smartpens

  • borrower understands that all electronic equipment and/or accessories are the property of the Mitchell College.
  • borrower will return all equipment to the Office of Disability Student Services in the same condition in which it was provided.
  • borrower will return all equipment on specified due date.
  • borrower understands that failure to return equipment will result in a hold on students account.
  • borrower is responsible for the replacement cost for equipment that is lost, stolen or damaged. Damages include but are not limited to accidents, neglect, or misuse.
  • borrower understands that legal action may be taken for failure to return equipment without proper compensation.
