Remote Teaching Support

In support of faculty developing their courses in remote and hybrid formats.

The Basics

The Faculty Portal (Blackbaud) is where instructors report attendance, Early Academic Reports (EARs), and midterm and final grades.

 Firefox is the recommended browser when working in the Faculty Portal.

Portal Login requires a username and password that is separate from your network/email account. For locked accounts or forgotten passwords contact OIT Support at support@mitchell.edu or 860-701-5190.

How to...

Reset your Password: Contact OIT Support at 860-701-5190 or support@mitchell.edu.

Submit Attendance: Attendance grid is where instructors record student attendance. Mark only students who are absent and select "Yes" in the "Attendance Taken" row.

Add a Syllabus: from the Gradebook menu, click "Add Class Documents".  Details instructions here.

Add E.A.R. Comments: Activate the comments box by clicking in the "Final Aver Grade" box next to a student's name. Click on the  "Edit comments" button in the upper right and first row of the grade sheet. 

Add Midterm and Final Grades: Place grades in the "Final Aver Grade" column. Remove E.A.R. comments when entering midterm grades. Remove midterm grades when entering final grades. When complete, change grades to "Ready" for submission to Registrar.

Ready Grades/Comments for Submission: Click on the "Final Aver Grade Not Ready" box and change to "Ready."
